Giampaolo Seguso belongs to the Seguso dynasty that has been working on Murano for 600 years. Since the 15th century, the name of the Venetian island Murano has been virtually synonymous with the creation of the finest, most elegant glass art in the world. He is the son of Archimede Seguso and was born in Venice on November 17, 1942. He worked with his father for over 30 years.

Giampaolo answered the theme of homage to Venice with “Four Seasons” collection. In this pendulum design, Giampaolo’s poems are integrated into the glass reflecting the seasons of life. The collection includes large sculptures of glass and metal as well as unique glass.

Giampaolo now works in the Seguso studio in Murano. With his sons, Gaimpaolo envisioned the company Seguso Viro, where together they would blend tradition with contemporary trends. It is a style where glass is dreamt about, studied, thought over, and created by man (“Viro”) to bring pleasure to all of mankind. Giampaolo and his wife, Daniela, have three sons and one daughter and currently reside in Venice, Italy.
