Museum Quality Antique Boxes are made of multiple materials, such as, Ivory, Wood, Horn, Brass, Bone, Metals, and tortoise shell. The Busacca gallery specializes in top quality pieces that date back Mid to late 19th century English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Asian boxes.

Condition: These boxes were Found and Kept in great condition, and adding to the boxes value, the boxes themselves still hold the quality and craftsmanship preserved over the years.

By 1840, some of the boxes had lost some of their fineness, but in their last decades of the 19th century, the boxes were simply framed by ebony strips and pinned with ivory or bone pins. The quills were larger than in the earlier boxes and the basic wood was not always high quality, yet the boxes had become increasingly simpler with time.
